Clyde North has become one of the fastest-growing suburbs in Victoria. Within a little over a decade, open farmland between Berwick and Cranbourne East has been transformed into a string of large estates, with new schools, town centres, parks, wetlands and sporting facilities. Estates such as Selandra Rise, Berwick Waters and Highgrove are now home to thousands of families, and building continues in newer stages.
We provide handyman services across Clyde North 3978, from the earlier estates near Thompsons Road to the newest stages still filling with fresh homes.
A suburb at two stages
Clyde North homes fall roughly into two groups. Homes in the earliest stages are now close to ten years old and are starting to need maintenance: resealing showers, adjusting doors, patching cracks, repairing fences and recoating decks. Homes in the newest stages are being set up for the first time and need installation and assembly. We help with both.
Setting up a new Clyde North home
The jobs new owners ask for most often include:
- Mounting TVs and hiding cables
- Fitting floating shelves, wall cabinets and bookcases
- Hanging curtains, blinds and tracks
- Hanging mirrors and artwork
- Assembling beds, wardrobes, desks, cots and outdoor settings
- Installing garage storage and bike racks
- Fitting door stops, hooks and robe hooks
- Installing letterboxes and house numbers
- Assembling sheds and storage boxes
We plan these into one visit wherever possible.
Maintenance in the early estates
In homes approaching their first decade, common jobs include:
- Removing and replacing mouldy or lifting shower silicone
- Regrouting where grout has cracked or discoloured
- Adjusting doors and replacing door hardware
- Patching settlement cracks and repainting
- Repairing nail pops and dents in plasterboard
- Replacing kitchen cupboard hinges
- Repairing paling and Colorbond fences and gates
- Replacing deck boards and recoating outdoor timber
- Rescreening flyscreens damaged by pets
- Pressure washing driveways and paths
Double-storey homes
Clyde North has a high proportion of double-storey homes on compact lots. Inside, we handle stairwell patching and painting, balustrade tightening, upstairs window restrictors, stair gates and upstairs bathroom silicone. Outside, we limit our work to single-storey sections and ground level; second-storey gutters and roofs need specialists with suitable access equipment.
Compact lots, clever storage
Smaller lots mean smaller backyards and fewer sheds, so storage inside the home and garage matters. We fit shelving in pantries, laundries, linen cupboards and wardrobes, install overhead and wall storage in garages, and add hooks and rails in entry areas for bags, coats and school gear.
Estate design guidelines
Many Clyde North estates have design guidelines covering fences, letterboxes, front landscaping and visible structures. If you are adding a front fence, a shed visible from the street or changing a letterbox, check your estate’s guidelines and any approval requirements first. We can work to the approved plans.
Shared fences and new neighbours
In fast-growing estates, fences are often built in stages as neighbouring homes are completed. Temporary fences, mismatched heights and gates that do not latch are common. Under Victoria’s Fences Act, neighbours generally share the cost of a basic dividing fence. Once you and your neighbour agree, we can repair or adjust fences and gates.
Wetlands, parks and outdoor living
Clyde North’s wetlands and linear parks are popular for walking and cycling. They also bring mosquitoes in summer. Intact flyscreens and screen doors make a big difference. We repair mesh, replace screen door rollers and fit pet mesh. For outdoor living areas, we repair decks, fit shade sail anchor points to suitable structures and assemble outdoor furniture.

Families and safety
With many young families, child safety jobs are frequent: furniture anchoring, stair gates, cupboard latches, blind cord cleats and window restrictors on upstairs windows. These are quick jobs that add real peace of mind.
Rentals
Clyde North has a large number of rental homes. Property managers rely on us for maintenance requests and end of lease repairs. We liaise with tenants through the agent, complete the work and send photos.
How we work
Send your job list through the free quote form with your suburb and photos. We will send a written scope and a free quote, agree a time, and leave the house clean when we finish.
What we do not do
We do not do licensed electrical, plumbing or gas work, structural work, asbestos removal, second-storey roof or gutter work, or building certification.
Nearby areas
We also work in Cranbourne, Cranbourne North, Cranbourne East, Cranbourne West, Cranbourne South, Clyde, Botanic Ridge, Devon Meadows, Lang Lang and Koo Wee Rup.
Town centres, schools and sport
Clyde North’s town centres and neighbourhood shops, new government and private schools, child care centres, clinics and sporting reserves all need maintenance. We help small businesses and community facilities with shelving, signage hanging, door closers and handles, patching and painting, furniture assembly and small clean-ups, working outside opening hours where needed.
Home offices and study spaces
Many Clyde North households include adults working from home and children who need a study space. We assemble desks and chairs, mount monitors and shelves, fit pinboards and whiteboards, and tidy cables. In smaller homes, wall-mounted fold-down desks and floating shelves can turn a corner or landing into a workspace.
Blinds, curtains and shutters
New homes need window furnishings, and existing ones sometimes need repair. Blind brackets fixed only into plasterboard pull out over time. We refit them into the window reveal or framing, replace broken brackets and chains, and fit cord cleats so looped cords are out of reach of children.

Garden sheds and outdoor storage
On compact lots, a garden shed or storage box may be the only outdoor storage. We assemble kit sheds and storage units on a level base, anchor them so they stay put in strong winds and fit internal shelving and hooks.
Pets and new homes
Dogs and cats are common in the estates. We repair scratched doors and fit kick plates, rescreen flyscreens with pet-resistant mesh, fit pet doors to suitable doors and add plinths or mesh at the base of fences where dogs dig.
Feature walls and wall panelling
Feature walls with decorative panelling, battens or wainscoting have become popular in new homes. We install MDF or timber batten panelling and wainscoting on plasterboard walls, fill and sand the joints and finish them ready for painting, or paint them ourselves. Panelling around a TV wall can also hide cables.
Driveways and exposed aggregate
Exposed aggregate driveways and paths are standard in many estates. Over time they collect tyre marks, oil, soil and mould. We pressure wash them carefully so the aggregate is cleaned without damage, and can apply a suitable sealer once dry. We also pressure wash Colorbond fences, rendered walls at low level, outdoor furniture and bins.
After the builder
Once your builder’s maintenance period has ended, small repairs are up to you. Keep handover documents, colour selections and spare materials. When you need a repair, these details help us match paint colours, grout and finishes.
Getting around Clyde North
Clyde North stretches from Thompsons Road in the north toward Clyde and Cranbourne East, and from Berwick across to Clyde Road. With traffic building as the suburb grows, booking several jobs into one visit makes sense for everyone.
Moving in and moving out
Clyde North sees constant movement as families buy, upgrade, rent and relocate within the estates. On moving day, we can assemble beds and furniture so the household can sleep in the new home on the first night. When moving out, we patch holes, fix minor damage and take away small loads of unwanted items. For tenants, this can help at the final inspection.
Common questions from Clyde North owners
Owners regularly ask whether a TV can go on a plasterboard wall, how heavy a floating shelf can be, and whether settlement cracks are a problem. In short: yes with correct fixings into studs; it depends on the shelf design, fixings and wall; and fine cracks are usually cosmetic.
Do you service Selandra Rise, Berwick Waters and Highgrove?
Yes, along with the other estates across Clyde North.
Do you clean second-storey gutters?
No. We clean gutters on single-storey homes and single-storey sections only.
Do I need estate approval for a new front fence?
Often, yes. Check your estate’s design guidelines before starting.
Can you reseal showers in a ten-year-old home?
Yes. We remove old silicone, regrout where needed and reseal.
Can you install batten or panel feature walls?
Yes. We install MDF or timber panelling and finish it ready for painting, or paint it ourselves.
Can you set up a study nook?
Yes. We assemble desks, mount shelves and monitors, and tidy cables.
Will pressure washing damage my exposed aggregate?
Not when done carefully with the right pressure and nozzle. We can also seal it afterwards.
